I was born in Ohio, grew up in Florida, and called Miami my hometown. I have been married for 63 years to the former Sylvia Barr. We have one son, Michael, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Education has always been very important to me. I have attended many schools, seminars, workshops, a variety of courses, conferences, lectures, etc. I have done my share of teaching people from 6 to 60 years old. I loved working, accomplishing, and I hated losing or screwing up.

I wanted to be a civil engineer or architect. I worked as a draftsman from the 10th grade and qualified for the US Army School of Engineering. I was always attracted to anything related to drawing. My parents said I had a God-given talent and should pursue it. Over the years, I have done every type of art and design. My favorite style of painting has always been realism. I prefer the watercolor wet-on-wet method, and I have painted landscapes, seascapes, figures, industrial scenes, and animals, but I keep coming back to my love of cars, planes, and trains.

At the conclusion of my working career, in my final position as Sales Manager for a wholesale liquor, wine, and beer distributor, I was a partner with my brother in a construction company. After working long hours and managing hundreds of employees, Sylvia and I decided to retire and really enjoy life. We have been very fortunate in life and have lived life to the fullest. They say 90% of success in life is just showing up, and I guess we've shown up a lot!

The enclosed photos are in my studio, several annual car show designs, plus those of vintage cars, motorcycles, and images that inspire me. For 35 years, we've participated in the Central British Car Show and love the people involved.
